Record Turnout at the 2026 Screwed Up Open

The 2026 Screwed Up Open is officially in the books — and what a day it was.

Despite some chilly temperatures that greeted golfers at White Pines Golf Club in Bensenville, a record number of attendees showed up and proved that a little cold weather is no match for a great outing. Fairways were packed, spirits were high, and the energy throughout the day was nothing short of incredible.

What makes this year's turnout even more meaningful is how far this event has come. The Screwed Up Open started as a small, no-frills golf outing — nothing fancy, just good people getting out on the course together. Over the years, it has grown organically into one of the most anticipated events on the MWFA calendar, and this year's record attendance is a testament to that growth. It is a reminder that the best traditions aren't built overnight — they are built through consistency, community, and a shared love of the game.

Events like this don't come together on their own. A huge thank you goes out to our generous sponsors whose support makes the event possible year after year, to the volunteers who give their time and energy to keep everything running smoothly, and to every single guest who bundled up and headed out to the course. You are the heart of this event.

If this year's record turnout is any indication, the Screwed Up Open is only going to keep growing. We are already looking forward to bringing everyone back together next year for what is sure to be another unforgettable day on the links. See you on the fairway!
